Family Medical Leave Act

This Federal regulation requires covered employers to provide eligible employees unpaid family or medical leave of up to 12 work-weeks during a rolling 12-month period. In order to be eligible for this benefit an employee must have been employed for at least 12 months and have worked at least 1250 hours in the 12 months preceding a leave.
