How do I contact the payroll department?

How quickly does direct deposit go into effect?

Direct deposit will go into effect immediately after we receive the completed paperwork from the employee. Please be sure your form has all of the following information on it:

Employee Name

Social Security Number

Employee Signature (matching the one we have on file)

Transit Routing Number (get this from your bank… with some banks there is a different # on a deposit slip than there is on a check)

Account Number (get this from your bank…if the information is wrong it will delay when you get your direct deposit)

When will my direct deposit be in my account?

Most banks will have your money in your account by Friday evening. Some smaller banks will take an additional day to process the funds. Direct deposit is never guaranteed before Friday.

Who can call and get information about my payroll?

Only the employee can speak to the payroll department about their payroll information. Any other person who calls will be directed to have the employee call in themselves.

What forms do I need to fill out to receive my paycheck?

You must have a completed employee packet on file with the payroll department. The forms that must be complete are as follows:

Employee Information Sheet

W-4

I-9 with proper ID’s (as listed on the back of the form)

Direct Deposit (if you choose that option)

General Acknowledgements

Employee Termination Guidelines

EEOC form

How do I change my payroll information?

All payroll information changes must be in writing. Under no circumstances will we accept changes by telephone.

When does the pay period end?

The pay period ends every other Thursday.

 

When am I eligible for Continuity Bonus?

An employee is eligible for Continuity Bonus after 2000 consecutive hours worked. You are paid 40 hours every 2000 hours until you accumulate 10,000 hours. At that time, you will be paid 80 hours of bonus every 2000 hours. If you terminate employment with Ensign USD Inc., your bonus hours are reset to 0.

What if my address has changed after my W-2 has been sent?

You will have to send a change of address in writing to the payroll department. You may either fax or mail it in. Please write the following on the request:

  • Employee Name
  • Employee Social Security Number
  • Employee Signature
  • Date
  • The statement, “Please send a copy of my W-2 to my new address below:”
  • Employee’s new address
  • Fax # if you want the W-2 faxed somewhere

Your W-2 will be mailed or faxed as soon as we have the information.

 

What am I paid for attending school or manager meetings?

 Rocky Mountain Area

 1) Rig Manager Meetings 8 hours x $24.75 per hour

 2) All other schools 12 hours x $24.75 per hour

CaliforniaArea

 1) Rig Manager Meetings 8 hours x $22.00 per hour

 2) All other schools are paid at $22.00 per hour but the hours vary by class

How long do I have to wait before my check is re-issued if I am not on Direct Deposit?

If you forget to send in a change of address or if your check is misplaced by the post office, you must wait 10 business days from payday before your check will be stop paid and re-issued.

What happens if my Direct Deposit account is closed because I forgot to send a change to the payroll department?

If you forget to send in a direct deposit change your bank will return the money to Ensign USD, and we will in turn issue you a check. We have to have the money returned to us before a check can be issued to you.

What form do I fill out if I want to change my federal exemptions?

You must fill out a new W-4 form to change your federal exemptions.

If you want to change your state tax exemptions to be different from your federal taxes, please call your payroll department at 1-866-376-2059.
